WANL membership
WANL connects its members to the world of writing by offering professional development workshops, by keeping members
informed of writing opportunities as they arise, and by providing advice and information on various issues of
interest to writers, including manuscript preparation, copyright, contracts, marketing, and promotion.

Benefits for Regular Members

Regular membership is $45 annually (or $25 for students, retirees, and unemployed persons).

Youth aged 17 and under receive free membership. (Youth members do not have voting privileges.)

Friends membership is $25 a year.

WANL has an open door policy. Members range from acclaimed, internationally known Newfoundland and Labrador
authors to emerging writers wishing to take their first steps towards publication.
Members are writers working in all genres–fiction, non-fiction, poetry, academia, drama, and journalism–and living on every part of the island, in Labrador, and outside the province.
2 For 1 Discount
As of Apr 1st, 2006, WANL offers a one-time 50 per cent reduction in the membership fee to any current Regular member who brings
in a new Regular member, as well as a 50 per cent reduction for that new member!
The 2 For 1 Discount promotion applies to Regular memberships only.
